I am looking into buying a home in California. With all of your help, I have determined that I will try for a fha loan. I have checked on my credit and now I need help on what to do next. I have looked at homes on ziprealty.com. I am assuming that my next step would be to get pre-approved. Should I go to my bank first? Or is there someplace that I can go that will look and several different lenders that will get me the best rates. I am concerned about too many inquiries on my credit report. Any suggestions you may have will be appreciated. On another note, I think all of you that take time to answer these questions are wonderful! Thank you in advance.

What is the best source for an FHA mortgage in California? A large bank or a finance company?
February 13, 2011
I am interested in getting pre-approved for an FHA loan and have been talking to my bank and I want to know what my options are to keep my costs down and not get taken advantage of as a first-time home buyer. If you have resently had some experience with this in the Riverside County area any advise would be appreciated.
